We also took a day trip to NYC while there! It was awesome - I LOVE New York. Big cities usually freak me out but NY didn't. Definitely gotta make my way back there sometime... maybe for an extended period of time.
As proof of my journey (and because it's fun), I give you PICTURES!
ERAU's delegation at the focus project - we made teddy bears from scratch to give to the children's hospitals in the area. We were the Embry-Riddle Power Rangers. I'm pink!
We all carried around a Zord, and when we were together, we made Megazord!
Fort Lewis College's delegation.
Host school Syracuse University's delegation.
Me in the showgirl costume... I lost a bet. Actually, it wasn't so much of a bet as a conditional dare... Chad aka the Blue Ranger bet me that I wouldn't wear a showgirl costume at NACURH. I told him that if h72387 got a top 10 finish at nationals I would; furthermore, if he won, I'd also wear it on my first night of RA duty in the fall. He won.
The delegation from University of Arizona, the school of the year!
The conference staff during opening ceremonies.
The ERAU delegation touching a big red thing in NYC.
Part of City Hall and part of a building with gargoyles. Gargoyles are cool.
Times Square! It's not really a square though... more of a triangle. But "Times Triangle" sounds dumb.
Policemen on horseback!
Me and Chad at Planet Hollywood.
World Trade Center site.
I cried when we went here. It was so emotional. They're still repairing the surrounding buildings too.
And last but not least... the cover image for the NACURH slideshow we'll be presenting.
